Changes in the retail industry are happening faster than ever before, transforming the retail store, and how retailers go to market and interact with their shoppers. And disruption is exactly what’s happening as the industry undergoes gut-wrenching change as decades of product-first practices give way to a true customer-first retail experience. 
Independent retailers are positioned for an exciting future, able to take advantage of new technologies to help transform their businesses. But what’s between here and there are systems and processes that have been built over decades for that product-first world that is rapidly disappearing. Retailers need a plan. 
The afternoon begins with helping retailers understand the forces at work and looking at how new capabilities are changing competition. With that foundation, we’ll identify how retailers can position themselves for success, including developing a clear strategy, putting together a roadmap, and creating a culture of innovation that is a requisite for the new world we live in.

Gain ideas on how to assess your current capabilities and assembling a roadmap to the future. Hear from industry experts who have led innovation and from a panel of retail executives.

Tech-fueled innovation is growing exponentially, getting faster every day. Learn how to make your organization move faster and become more open to new ways of doing things. Creating a culture of innovation and a process for how your company can speed up making decisions, launching pilots and deploying new capabilities, is more important than any specific technology.
