Dorn Wenninger is the Sr VP of Produce for UNFI.  He’s spent over 30 years working across the entire value-chain of the Produce Industry.  Dorn spent the first half of his career working with leading produce suppliers such as Chiquita Bananas and Driscoll’s strawberries.  The last 14 years have been on the sales and distribution side.  Dorn spent 11 years with Walmart, leading Produce for Walmart US then moved to Mexico where he was responsible for the Fresh departments for 2,500 stores of Walmart Mexico.  Most recently Dorn’s responsibilities with UNFI include supplying thousands of independent retailers with produce on a national level.  In 2023 UNFI will be open a CEA farm co-located at a Distribution Center in a project between UNFI and Square Roots.
