John Thompson
John Thompson has over 30 years of experience in building and managing media solutions for the Grocery Retail industry and Consumer Package Goods companies. Currently President and CEO of ShoptoCook, LLC, a company of the forefront of providing in-store media solutions that impact the marketplace, John has been a leader in digital media industry with positions such as Vice President of Strategy and Retail Network Development for Insignia Systems, where he developed and managed their access to over 23,000 retail locations and the growth of their direct relationship network to over 10,000 individual retail locations, Vice President of Strategy at INMAR, Inc. where he lead their digital media strategy development and acquisition strategy, Executive Vice President of Unicous Marketing, an industry leader in digital coupons and instore media, and Sr. Vice President Sales and Marketing for Solar Communications leading efforts to develop executional strategies for the direct marketing industry. John also spent 20 years at Valassis Communications, where he was President, General Manager of Valassis of Canada where he lead Valassis’ International Expansion as well as SR. VP of Digital Media where he lead Valassis’ successful entry into the digital and direct marketing industries. John is a member of the Board of Advisors for Capella University, graduated from West Virginia University, Montgomery as a Mechanical Engineer and currently resides in Eden Prairie Minnesota with his wife Denise.
