As a fourth-generation family member of a grocery business dating back to 1854, Laura started working in the family business when she was 12 years old. Filling water tubes for flower bouquets in Floral departments, she also worked every summer through high school and college in the Produce departments, Video Centers, and as a Cashier. 

After graduating from Vanderbilt University in 1997 with a BS in Human and Organizational Development, Laura interned at Fleishman Hillard in Public Relations for a year before joining Dierbergs full time.  Upon rejoining the company, she completed an intensive training program for over a year working in every department throughout the stores and later took a position as a Store Operations Supervisor over several Dierbergs locations. 

Today, Laura serves as Executive Vice President, focusing on Information Technology, leading Dierbergs digital transformation and business process evolution, while also spending much of her time in Real Estate, Marketing, HR, and general Operations. Supporting the community in which Dierbergs has operated for 168 years, Laura oversees charitable giving as well, devoting company and personal resources to charities such as Operation Food Search, United Way, American Heart Association, FOCUS St. Louis, and Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital.
