Kurt Schertle has 35 years of experience in the supermarket industry, with leadership spanning merchandising, marketing, procurement, operations, supply chain, IT, store development, and construction.
He held executive roles at SuperValu, UNFI, and Weis Markets before becoming Chief Operating Officer of Weis Markets in 2014. During his 11 years as COO, Weis Markets delivered positive comparable-store sales growth in 47 of 48 quarters and grew annual revenue from just over $2 billion to more than $5 billion.
Mr. Schertle currently serves as an industry consultant for BGJ Group and The Miele Group.
