Steve Methvin is the Vice President of Product Development at DUMAC Business Systems and a certified PCI Professional (PCIP) with more than 47 years of experience in supermarket operations, retail technology, and secure commerce systems. Steve leads the strategy and engineering behind the RORC® product suite and DUMAC’s expanding cloud and eCommerce ecosystem—including the ShopHero platform, which delivers secure digital engagement, retail media, product and promotion management, and cloud-native commerce for independent grocers. Steve’s career spans frontline store operations at Market Basket, Winn-Dixie, and Kroger; enterprise technology leadership at Ahold USA; and his prior role as Vice President of Retail Technology & eCommerce at Bozzuto’s Inc., where he supported more than 1,000 independent retailers across the Northeast. Throughout his career, he has built and overseen security programs, PCI compliance models, network and payment security architectures, and enterprise data protection standards for both small retailers and large-scale distribution organizations. At DUMAC—an NCR Platinum Preferred Channel Partner—Steve guides the development of future-ready retail platforms that combine security, simplicity, and operational resilience. His work focuses on protecting payment environments, strengthening store system integrity, and enabling independent grocers to adopt secure, cloud-forward technologies without adding operational overhead. Steve is recognized for making complex security practices accessible to retailers, emphasizing practical safeguards, automated protections, and realistic risk reduction that fits the realities of local store operators.
